Capabilities

Blackwater Nano engineers nanomaterials into functional solutions, products, and systems. Bring us a performance target or problem — sheet resistance, surface behavior, PFAS replacement, or a reliability problem — and we formulate the nanomaterial solution around it. Below is what we produce, what we’ve demonstrated, and what we are bringing to market.

How we work (design-in): We start with the application not the datasheet. You tell us the substrate, the manufacturing process, and the performance target. We develop, test, and characterize the optimal material and/or product to meet that target. We engineer the solution to satisfy regulatory and compliance requirements, and we document the results. This is applications engineering and product development — and it’s what we do best.

Available now

  • Conductive inks & coatings — Carbon and graphene (FLG) formulations and products tuned to target sheet resistance across screen, brush, and spray methods for heating elements, ESD control, and EMI/RFI shielding.

  • Engineered nano-dispersions — Aqueous and solvent‑based dispersions of carbon, graphene (FLG), battery grade materials, or h‑BN formulated for your process and substrate. The foundation of everything we make.

Demonstrated — in development

  • Printed heating elements — Damage‑tolerant flexible heaters for enclosures, panels, and surfaces, from low‑voltage condensation/freeze protection to radiant heated floor systems.

  • Polymer conductive coatings — Conductive base coats for plating on plastics and functional polymer surfaces.

  • Ceramic slurries — Alumina and technical‑ceramic slurries for conductivity and transducer‑class applications.

Working towards

  • Performance‑enhanced materials — Specialty composites, hybrid materials, ceramics, sensors, flexible electronics, performance waxes, and functional surface treatments.

  • Chemical processes — GO, rGO, and MOF/COF synthesis.
